Yakamein Recipe 01/20/2011
My mom use to cook this New Orleans dish, Yakamein (Old Sober) when we were young. I was very observant and a little kitchen helper. So, about 4 years ago living in Los Angeles, I decided to give it a try and cook it myself. This is totally off of subject, but thought I add I love to listen to music while I'm cooking. Preferably jazz musicians Kermit Ruffins and Ella Fitzgerald. I was a pescetarian for a long time, so I'd just cook it with shrimp. It is usually cooked with beef stew, but you can choose to use whatever types of meat you like, boneless chicken breast, shrimp, pork i.e. In my opinion the chicken and shrimp recipe is the best, so here you go! (1) pack of boneless chicken breast (1) lb of shrimp (1) pack of green onions (1) pack of spaghetti (1) vegetable oil (4) chicken flavor bouillon cubes (3) eggs Cut the boneless chicken breast to bitable sizes Peel the shrimp, clean the vein out the shrimp and cut the shrimp in half Boil the chicken, shrimp and chicken bouillon cubes in a pot of water for 30 minutes or until tender Boil spaghetti and a top full of vegetable oil in an additional pot of water until spaghetti is done Boil the eggs in a separate pot of water until eggs slightly crack ;) Peel eggshells and cut egg in half Cut the green onions in space dices Serve in a bowl with green onions, soy sauce, hot sauce and ketchup as your toppings ENJOY!!! My big sister (in my head) Davida Chanel mentioned she was thinking about reading "A Course In Miracles" (ACIM). Strangely I was thinking the same thing. She thought it would be a great if we read it together, so we can keep each other accountable. Brilliant idea! After discussing with her I immediately ordered it online. I recommend everyone to join us on this awesome journey. It specifically states that "a universal theology is impossible, but a universal experience is not only possible but necessay" (Manual, p. 77) Chicken & Broccoli Casserole Recipe 11/26/2010
